LOCK YOUR DATES Dear Colleague, The Indian Federation of Culinary Associations, IFCA, is organizing the 4th IFCA National Culinary Conference at Taj Krishna, Hyderabad from 14-16th November 2009. This Event will be a 3 day affair with a major conference of culinarians, The three-day event will feature a wide spectrum of topics; international speakers will talk on a broad gamut of subjects ranging from wine tasting to Food & IT. There is also a forum for debate on relevant and stimulating issues of interest to the Industry and other Stakeholders at large. The Indian Federation of Culinary Associations is a nodal body of culinary professionals in India and is an independent, apolitical, non-religious and voluntary organization of culinary professionals. IFCA was formed with the idea of developing the culinary profession and to showcase Indian cuisine on the Global platform. It looks at promoting culinary knowledge and propagating various kinds of foods and bringing obscure culinary styles and practices to the forefront. The southern region (South India Culinary Association), currently has over 2000 members and is a growing professional organization. It is registered under the registration of societies act (339/2000) and is recognized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and is a National member of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS), the apex body of culinary professionals the world over with 2 million members, considered to be the UN of the Culinary profession and is recognized by 70 Countries. IFCA constantly works towards raising the bar of culinary trade, developing the art of fine cooking, is upholding the general interests of the professionals and promoting goodwill by always setting high ethical standards. The Prime objective of the IFCA National Culinary Conference is We propose to have a 50:50 mix of pure disciplinary and cross-disciplinary themes, with topics ranging from culinary tourism to wine tasting, to standards and practices for the industry to food and wine journalism.
